game party

at gesamtkunst werkshop, chicago. 2018

" JOIN US FOR A NIGHT OF DRINKS, SNACKS AND MASK MAKING, AND PLAY LOGAN’S GAME - A IMMERSIVE, GROUP ORIENTED EXPERIMENTAL VIDEO GAME.
THE EVENING WILL BE STRUCTURED AROUND THE PREPARATION AND ACTIVATION OF THE GAME - A HYBRID EXPERIENCE THAT TAKES PLACE IN BOTH THE PHYSICAL AND VIRTUAL REALM.
WE WILL BEGIN THE NIGHT WITH DRINKS AND REFRESHMENTS, AND CARRY ON TO THE FIRST STEP OF THE GAME, WHICH IS THAT OF MASK CREATION. VARIOUS MASKS WILL BE PROVIDED - INCLUDING BLANK MASKS, FIT FOR CUSTOMIZATION - HOWEVER, ATTENDEES ARE ENCOURAGED TO EITHER BRING THEIR OWN HOME-MADE MASK, AND / OR MATERIAL TO CONCEIVE THE MASK BEFORE THE GAME BEGINS. ONLY DIY MASKS WILL BE ALLOWED. ONCE THERE IS AN ADEQUATE NUMBER OF MASKS AND PARTICIPANTS WE WILL CONTINUE ON TO THE ACTUAL ACTIVATION OF THE GAME.
PARTICIPATION IN GAME-PLAY IS NEITHER REQUIRED NOR EXPECTED; SO, IN THE CASE YOU DECIDE NOT TO PLAY, PLEASE CONSIDER ATTENDING, AS IT WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY TO OBSERVE THE STRANGENESS OF THE GAME IN ACTION WHILE HAVING A FUN TIME WITH SOME NICE PEOPLE!"
