Purify
Summer 2017, Brooklyn, ny.
a journey to divine success,
where strangers become friends,
complete the four steps, and achieve purification.
During Purify, Artists walked around a large, beautiful park in brooklyn on a sunny summer morning and offered strangers the option to enact a meditative ritual.
several individuals participated with mostly positive results.
This work ended after both artists agreed they no longer felt COMFORTABLE with the social-political dynamic of this PERFORMANCE.
the VARIOUS interactions were documented through audio as well as photography, yet none of this content has been released to the public.
For a full description of the thought processes behind Purify, as well as an installation plan, please look here.
